What to Expect
- At 9:00 p.m., your tour guide will meet you at your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, or at the airport and then take you to St. Catherine by private van. The journey will take about 3 hours.
- Once we arrive, we will embark on a climb up the 2285 m high mountain guided by one of our experienced guides. The ascent starts at 2:00 a.m. and reaches the summit around 5:00 a.m. The ascent follows a lengthy path of 700 steps, eventually leading to the mountaintop just in time for a breathtaking sunrise offering spectacular views.
- After descending from the mountain, we will visit the historic Monastery of St. Catherine. Over the years, this monastery has gained fame as one of the most renowned landmarks in the Sinai region.
- Following the monastery visit, we will head to a local restaurant in St. Catherine City to enjoy a hearty breakfast. Then, we will drive back to your hotel, arriving between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
