Luxor Temple Tour

An ancient sanctuary surrounded by honking taxis, touts, and strolling families, Luxor Temple’s grandeur has endured more than 3,000 years on the East Bank of the Nile. Linked to Karnak Temple via the Avenue of Sphinxes, Luxor Temple boasts soaring colonnades, elaborate columns, statues, and images of Amenhotep III and Ramses II.

Medinet Habu Tour

On Luxor’s West Bank, Ramses III built his magnificent mortuary temple with intricate relief carvings and shrines. Images of hunting trips, prisoner executions, and battles with the Sea Peoples offer a window into ancient history.

You will also be able to visit some other temples inside Habu Temple such as the Temple of Amun dating to the 18th Dynasty, built by Queen Hatshepsut and Thutmose III. It has undergone many alterations and modifications over the years.

Watch the real Egyptian life pass by and enjoy the fantastic scenes that have not changed in millennia, the children playing in the water, the camels and donkeys, the farmers going about their work in the same ways they have done for centuries, and admire the water buffalo and a wide variety of birds.

The motorboat will sail to the Banana Island “a land covered with banana plantations”. The boat captain will berth the motorboat off the island and your guide will take you on a short exploratory tour of the island, where you’ll be offered a refreshing cup of traditional Egyptian tea and some of the sweetest, most delicious bananas you have ever tasted.

    Such a great experience!

Posted by Jenny Lawson on 30th Jun 2024

Wow, what a day! Our hotel is in El Gouna, and we had a great time being picked up in a comfy minibus with air conditioning. We drove for two and a half hours before taking a break at a rest stop. When we reached Luxor and visited the Karnak Temple, we were greeted by a fantastic guide. She is super knowledgeable, passionate, and has a great sense of humour - she took care of us. After that, we grabbed a delicious buffet-style lunch. We also saw the Colossi of Memnon and the Valley of the Kings. While driving through Luxor, the guide pointed out many other excellent archaeological sites. She showed us three incredible tombs in the Valley of the Kings, and then we went to Queen Hatshepsut's temple. Our guide shared captivating stories about Queen Hatshepsut's reign. Our drivers were also super friendly and polite. The minibus was stocked with plenty of cold bottled water. Such a great experience!

I can't remember the exact wording, but the tour was terrific. We had to wake up early to start our journey to Luxor, but it was worth it. The driver made us feel safe during the long journey, and our guide was amiable and knowledgeable. He showed us some incredible sights and taught us a lot about the history, which was fascinating. We enjoyed visiting the Karnak Temple and the Kings Valley and having a delicious lunch by the Nile. My two teenage children and I had a fantastic time, and I would recommend this trip and travel agency to all my family and friends.
