What to Expect

• On day 1, we will embark on an early morning journey to the breathtaking Siwa Oasis in our limousine. Siwa Oasis, the largest and most remote Egyptian Oasis with around 23,000 inhabitants, is approximately 17 meters below sea level. As we cross the Western Desert, we'll stop at the Al Alamin 2 World War Museum before continuing to the picturesque Marsa Matrouh on the Mediterranean Sea for a delightful lunch at one of the local restaurants. Following lunch, we'll head to Siwwe'llis, where we will arrive in the afternoon and check into our hotel for an overnight stay.
• Day 2 of our Siwa adventure begins with a visit to the captivating Shali Old Town, where we immerse ourselves in the fascinating history and architecture. The ancient town, constructed from salt, mud, and plaster, offers a glimpse into Siwa's rich history. Following this, we explore the Siwa museum housed in a traditional Siwan house. The museum is a treasure trove of conventional Siwan artefacts such as silver, jewellery, musical instruments, wedding costumes, baskets, and ceramics. Our next stop is the Amoun Temple (Om Obayda), a remarkable structure dating back to the 30th dynasty, and the Oracle Temple, where Alexander the Great sought validation of his royal status.
• Afterwards, we go to the tranquil Cleopatra Spring, where we savour a delightful lunch at a local cafeteria overlooking the soothing water spring. The afternoon is spent at Bir Wahed, a natural wonder 12 km southwest of Siwa. Here, we marvel at the hot and cold springs nestled amidst the vast Great Sand Sea, with the water serving as an oasis amidst the surrounding dunes. As the day transitions into the evening, we witness an awe-inspiring sunset atop the dunes. Our day culminates with a visit to a Bedouin camp for an enchanting dinner before retiring to our hotel for the night.
• On the third day of our journey, we will start our day with a delicious breakfast before embarking on a memorable adventure across the breathtaking Western Desert. Our comfortable, air-conditioned private car will accompany us as we traverse this remarkable landscape, spending approximately 10 hours on the road as we make our way to the captivating Bahariya oasis.
• On Day 4 of your adventure, you will embark on an unforgettable journey through the stunning landscapes of the White Desert. The day begins with a visit to the White Desert National Park, where your exploration kicks off with a visit to the unique Black Desert. This is followed by a stop at the picturesque El Hez Village and the refreshing Cold Spring. Amidst the adventure, a delightful lunch awaits on the way.
• Continuing the expedition, your next stop is the remarkable Crystal Mountain before proceeding to the captivating Agapat area. As the day unfolds, you will arrive at the enchanting Old White Desert, known for its distinctive mushroom formations and tent area.
• The adventure continues with a visit to the New White Desert, adorned with beautiful limestone formations that will leave you in awe. As the day draws closer, a serene spot is selected for a magical dinner and a night spent under the enchanting desert stars.
• The following morning, awaking to breathtaking views at the camp, a delicious breakfast awaits before setting off on a jeep ride back to the oasis. From there, your car will be waiting to transport you back to your hotel, concluding this remarkable desert excursion.

Grand Egyptian Museum

This mega museum in Giza will showcase Tutankhamun’s burial treasures for the first time, all at the same place, including 2,000 artefacts that have never been made public before. A visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum is a highlight of your Egypt tour.

The Grand Egyptian Museum is situated on 50 hectares (120 acres) of land approximately two kilometres from the Giza pyramids and is part of a new master plan for the plateau.

The building of the museum has a unique beauty. Although it will not rival the beauty of the Giza pyramids it looks like foldings in the desert sand. The Facade of the museum is geometrical in shape with alabaster stone. The museum is designed to line up with the Great Pyramid of Khufu and Menkaure.

The museum building is shaped like a chamfered triangle and while the front of the building has a translucent stone wall, it is the atrium inside that you will marvel at when you arrive.

The museum will house about 100,000 artefacts spanning a history of 7000 years of Egyptian history. With the latest technology in its halls.

One of the artefacts that has been recently transported to the museum is the thirty-foot-high granite statue of King Ramses II. The statue is more than three thousand years old and weighs about eighty-three tons. The statue was placed in a cage that was constructed specifically for the transport, and it was surrounded by a mounted military guard and a marching band for the journey. Once it arrived at the new Grand Egyptian Museum, it was placed inside the atrium where it will greet you every time you walk through the front doors.

While you are visiting this museum, you will be able to wander through exhibition galleries and watch a 3D movie within the cinema. It may be the ancillary buildings, restaurants, and shops that pique your interest the most after you have completed your exploration of history.

Virtual reality has also been incorporated into this new museum space, so every visitor will be able to incorporate the latest in technology during their visit. There is nothing better than feeling like you are being transported back in time as you are experiencing seeing these items for the first time.

What you will see, is the Hanging Obelisk Square in front of the museum, the atrium, the Children’s Museum, the Immersive Hall, the outdoor areas, and retail and food and beverage outlets, which include leading Egyptian brands.

Entry to the atrium will afford access to a selection of remarkable artefacts, including the colossus of Rameses II, the 10 Statues of Senusret, the Sakkara Cannon, the victory column of Meneptah, in addition to the Ptolemaic King and Queen statues.

All other museum interior spaces, including access to the main galleries and the two Tutankhamun galleries, will remain closed in preparation for the full site opening.
