What to Expect
- At 7:00 am, your tour guide will pick you up from your Aswan hotel to begin your day tour to the Temple of Kom Ombo. Situated atop high grounds overlooking the Nile, this temple is unique due to its double entrance, each dedicated to a different divinity: "Haroeris" with his falcon head and "Sobek" with his crocodile head. The temple was built in honour of two deities: the crocodile-headed Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris, the ancient falcon-headed Horus.
- After visiting the Temple of Kom Ombo, you will be transferred to Edfu by road to explore the majestic temple dedicated to Horus. Considered by many as the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, according to Egyptian myths, it was where the falcon-headed god Horus sought revenge for the murder of his father, Osiris, by killing Seth.
- After the tour, as you requested, you will be transferred to your hotel in either Aswan or Luxor.
